Bread and Butter
About This Spot
Stepping into Bread and Butter feels like uncovering a quietly treasured nook tucked just beyond the street’s familiar rhythm. It’s the kind of spot that invites you to slow down — where the soft hum of friendly chatter blends with the warm scent of freshly baked bread, and time takes a gentle pause. The atmosphere here is unhurried and welcoming, a reflection of the thoughtful care poured into every loaf and every conversation held at the counter.
This bakery offers more than just baked goods; it carries the spirit of a tight-knit community woven into each softly browned crust and subtle hint of sweetness. The menu reads like a quiet celebration of comfort and discovery — from the subtly fragrant pandan bread to the rich, tender layers of ensaimada, and the unexpected delight wrapped in the chewy embrace of pan de coco. Every bite hints at stories shared, moments held, and the simple joy of finding something both familiar and new.
What truly sets Bread and Butter apart is its quiet resilience and warmth, a place where you’re met with genuine smiles that linger as long as the bread’s comforting aroma. It’s a bakery that feels like coming home after a journey — a little refuge where good food and kind people create a comforting rhythm in the heart of Fresno.

Was a bit hard to find because you can't see it from the street but it's worth the mission. Love senorita bread, glad Fresno has a spot. I live out of town but will stop by anytime I'm in town.

Absolutely delicious bread and delightful store owners. We talked for easily thirty minutes, they were so nice. Would love to see their business continue to grow and flourish, everything is worth it. If you're looking for baked ube goods, this is the place for you

Got 3 kinds of Ube bread for $20. All of them are delicious, especially the ones with ube and cheese filling. The bread was very soft after getting heated in microwave!

Yum! We have never been there before. Wanted to support them after they had a break in by a no goodnick. Everything was so yummy! We will come back to try everything! We highly recommend this awesome place. Look at the Angel wings above...

I LOVED THEIR UBE BREAD! It traveled well with me from Fresno to Puerto Rico and I followed their re-heat instructions: it was scrumptious, flavorful, and so satisfying! Will have to travel for more!!

THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD! I am definitely coming back! The owners were the most kindest, the moment I walked into the building they were immediately welcoming! Everything looked so yummy so I bought their Señorita bread, Matcha Brownies, Ube Brownies, Ube rolls, and something else which I forgot? My favorite pastry they had were the Senorita bread, so soft, perfect amount of sweetness, and I did pop them into the oven along with the Ube rolls and they were the best!! I spent $37 which was so worth it especially since everything was a good portion. Going to be my new To Go Filipino Bakery!!!
